ABOUT
Houston Event Photography
Houston Event Photography was founded
in 1978 by Scott Wilson. Originally we
operated a portrait,wedding, and
commercial photography studio in Lake
Jackson, Texas as Scott Wilson Photography.
In 1983 we relocated to Houston to the
Clear Lake, Friendswood and League City
Area and moved from wedding and family
portraits to offer our commercial
photography services to corporate and
commercial clients in the area that
provided work for NASA and companies
involved in the space exploration business.
During this time we also started providing
photography services to many Houston Oil,
Gas and Energy-related companies that
were located in the surrounding areas.
Working with those companies provided us
the opportunity to provide photography for
their corporate events, parties, conferences
and conventions. This leads us to become
a corporate event photography specialist.
The change in our company dynamics also
lead us to change our name to Houston
Event Photography in 1983 to better project
the types of photography services we were
offering.
Not only are we the oldest event
photography company in Houston but we
were also one of the first to dive into digital
photography from film. That move also
steered us into being one of the first
offering Instant On-Site Photo Printing and
Green Screen Photography to our list of
services.
Today we still offer the newest trends in
photographic services available and utilize
the best photo equipment, photo software
and photo products available to provide to
our clients.

we need that we don’t have on-site our warehouse is

traveling into Houston to work don’t have back up
equipment avaialable if needed.
Speaking of traveling photographers. Do you know that
many of them white label contract with us to perform the
services you need? This means extra cost to you. Why hire
someone who isn’t familiar with Houston and may not
actually be performing the work you hired them to do.
We can provide back up photographers and staffing
whenever needed by utilizing staff that we know, trust and
have worked with before.

communicate with our staff during large events. Also each
member carries a cell phone.

Event photography pricing is unique to each event. Most
of our pricing is based off hourly rates and the types of
services you are requesting , equipment and supplies
needed, and manpower needed to complete the job.
Where some events are small and only require one
photographer others may require several or more
experienced photographers, staffing and equipment. Our
pricing is fair and gives you all-inclusive usage of your
images meaning you own the rights to use your photos for
most purposes except resale.
