January 10, 2022 Prices continue to increase and supplies are in much demand in the photo industry. Last year many photographers were caught off guard when they tried to purchase photo paper for their photo printers. The paper shortage that had once been only noticed with toilet paper all of a sudden started making paper products of all types more expensive and hard to find. This worldwide shortage caught photographers who hadn’t worked since 2019 or 2020 by surprize. Many who booked wedding and holiday events found their was no paper avaialable and if it could be found the prices in some case was 10 times what it originally sold for the previous year. This casued many of them to cancel jobs or just shut down and not show up. Fortunately we purchase our supplies for the upcoming year in December each year. So in December 2020 we purchased our photo paper supplies for 2021. We also had a large supply left over from a bad 2020 year due to COVID cancellations and our 2021 order was placed before the shortage. So we never experienced any shortage in 2021. That said now in 2022 things are still not looking good. We still have a good supply of photo paper but have been told by our vendors to expects this shortage to continue through 2023. The bad news is it will be causing us to have to raise pricing on many paper and printing items. I was pricing photo foders on 01/10/22 and was informed the same photo folders I paid $0.30 a piece for last month were now over $1.00 each and would be higher soon. The vendor said all the paper mills are running out of supplies and canceling orders. I have been contacting my clients who have yearly events to inform them that these types of supplies are rising in price and it may be a good idea to order eaarly if they are planning an event this year. Super Bowl Bound 2022 We are excited to once again be selected to be the photographer for one of our corporate clients who wil lbe hosting a two day event in Los Angeles in February 2022. This will be our fifth SUper Bowl event hosted by them and we look forward to be there again.

Texas Golf Cup

The annual Texas Golf Cup Charity Golf Tournament hosted by Graham Wood was a great success this year and it benefited our men and women in law enforcement. Graham donated the proceeds to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Wounded Deputies Association. Thank You for supporting our men and women of law enforcement.

09/08/2019 Honor Flight Houston

We had the honor to once again serve our veterans of Honor Flight Houston and their families by attending a ballgame with them on the annual Houston Astros Minute Maid Park Field trip to watch the Houston Astros play the Seattle Mariners and get a 21-1 win in the books. It was a fun filled day of reunion, fellowship and recognition for our veterans. We had veterans of all ages with 96 being the oldest and he was also the “Oldest Living Texas Marine”. The had veterans that fought in WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars representing their fellow veterans. Houston Event Photography owner Scott Wilson is the Volunteer Photography Director for Honor Flight Houston and he donates his time, talent, and love for veterans to make sure they get to relive their memories in pictures. He and his wonderful team of loving volunteer photographers travel with them to Washington, DC when they go on mission flights while they visit their memorials and they capture images for them to show their families what they experienced on their Honor Flight.
